On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, All other ground is sinking sand!

“I love to tell the story! Will be my theme in glory! To tell the old old story of Jesus and His love!”

I’m a soldier in the army of the Lord! This fun song is from Kidzblast this week but is a great song for Christians to share with their children. With over 250k views on YouTube, it has a powerful message for all of us.

Some of these videos are from the curriculum we’re using for KidzblastVBS. These youtube videos are some good ones to put in a playlist for entertaining kids on your computer. They have a great theme and message with a beat the kids love.

We need your prayers this morning for KidzblastVBS. Children’s pastor David Joiner shares his message to prayer warriors out there.

See what people are saying about Kidzblast and what is happening (and learn how you can use social media as a witness.)

Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.

Luke 9:48 New Living Translation

We welcome these beautiful children both this week at Kidzblast and every Sunday morning, night, and Wednesday night. You’re going to see a lot of things happening this week at Kidzblast but don’t let it stop there. Bring your children!

Monday’s Message to Parents about #kidzblast12

Parents…

Our goal in creating this VBS curriculum was to put the Bible back into the center of Vacation Bible School. This week your child will be diving into God’s word and learning how to use their Bible. In addition to reading scripture with their leaders, we encourage you to assist your children in looking up the additional passages that are provided each day in these take home sheets. Not only do they go along with their lesson, but they most likely will lead to some great discussions as well!

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says…

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Today’s Bible Lesson

In the Bible lesson today, the children learned that God created everything. Because of this, he is the one who determines right from wrong. They also reviewed the story of how Adam and Eve trusted the serpent instead of God. Their sin required one sacrifice for each person to make things right with God again. In Genesis 3:21 God used the animal skins from the sacrifice to cover them. Children learned today that from the very beginning, a sacrifice was always required to atone for sin.

Additional Verses

We encourage you to take the time to assist your children in looking up these additional verses:

Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:27

Psalm 50:12b

Psalm 90:2

Isaiah 40:28

Acts 17:25b

As a parent, it is our responsibility to “train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 You’ll be tired tonight and so will your child, but plan some time to talk to your child about what he or she learned and prepare by reading these verses.

If you’re a parent who is not part of Sherwood Baptist Church’s Kidzblast this week, we want to encourage you too! Are you talking to your children about what you believe? If you’re a random person who found us on Tumblr by accident, there are no accidents, will you pray for our Kidzblast? Will you reach out in your own area to encourage children and parents in their Christian walk?
